Ok... It's not white anymore!
I recently got it out of paint, and have only been able to put about seventy miles on it. I like it a lot more now. I don't think it will draw so much negative attention as it did when it was white.

Looks nice! My dad has a 77 Police 1000 that is almost the exact same color. Wish I had a picture to post.

I recently acquired an old police bike. Would it be wrong to take the fairing off and install it on my 650 for the colder months?
I actually like some of the examples there of the modified police bikes. If I wasn't already working on some others I'd be tempted to fix it up.
Nice look that you have now with the new paint.

I live in the St. louis area. I am a true believer in riding throughout the year as long as it is dry, I wear full gear and make sure that I don't have any exposed skin. The fairing is a huge part of letting me ride for ten months out of the year. Heck I even rode on Christmas day and New Years day this past holiday season. I don't winterize my bike, I just make shure I use it for all it's worth. If the fairing gets you on the bike a few times more than you would have ridden otherwise, then go for it. :woohoo:

Great looking bike
I thought of going with the Bobber look with mine, but after riding it for the first season, I decided that I liked the full bagger convienance just not the cop bike look. so I tried for something more subduded with the color. The trick for me was figureing a way to keep the trunk after I put a passenger seat on it. once I figured that out I decided to stay with the full bagger thing.
Yours looks great I love the flames,:woohoo:
