350 Miles in One Day, Wish me Luck!

Hey Everyone,
I am planning on riding my 81 750 350 miles tomorrow from Bloomington, Indiana to South Lyon, Michigan.
I have packed a tool kit so I can adjust the chain mid trip, I am not really sure what else I can do to prepare.
Any last minute suggestions?

Wish me Luck Guys.

Bring some chain lube and use it every other gas stop. Rain gear, cash and credit card too. Take a camera and post some pics, a 350 mile day is a good ride, have fun.

Why, yes he does, and he is good friends with Mr. Potter! Looking forward to seeing him this weekend, and going on a few rides together.

I promised to let him try my W650 - but a little worried I may never see it again. But I'll trade for his dad's BMW!

I am planning on stopping in Muncie and maybe somewhere between Coldwater and Marshall on my way.
I will have my camera with me and hop to post pictures by the end of the weekend, although I can't promise quality as my viewfinder is broken.

As for suggestions:

Chain lube- done

GPS- takes away from the adventure

Hot Honey- Last hot honey I put on the back of my bike almost had me selling it and everything else I own with her lies. I do have 2 weeks of clothes in a duffel bag.

Rain suit- I have a rain coat packed, but do not own pants, I guess I'll tough it out

Swiss Army Knife, Rope, Zip Ties, and Bungee cords all packed.

Cash and Credit cards packed along with warm gloves, warm jacket, thin gloves, thin jacket and
second helmet in case I find someone along the way (actually so my sister can be a passenger while I am home) Talk about a pain in the ass to pack.

I'm sure I'll be sore by the end of this.

On long rides like that if I'm going to be droning along on the highway for hours I have found it helps to use the soft foam ear plugs. You can still hear important stuff like sirens, but it reduces the wind noise much along with the associated fatique. Pick a couple packs up at Home Depot and ride with them in for a while and without them for a while and see the difference. Ed

I second the redbull, good stuff!

When i Rode my 750 about that far this summer, my ass hurt so bad by the time i got there. Maybe pack a big fluffly seat if you arent worried bout the harley guys laughing, haha! The advil and redbull will take away the pain though ;)

Forget who posted it, but a good idea is to tie-wrap or tape a spare clutch cable to your existing cable. Don't forget the essentials like spare fuses and an extra bulb or two. B)
