aleast give the power that the old zx-11 had and i would buy one but those morons at kawi would probably "tuned for mid range" as always and then they won't understand why it wont sell so they will pull after two years .why dont they ever ask what people want. that is whole reason why i didn't buy a zrx or any of the other standerds that have come out in the last ten years. i want sport bike horsepower in a standard type chassis. is that so much to ask for. that is why i keep hotrodding the old iron. i like that style of bike but they wont give me what i want.

That merely reinforces my opinion about Kawasaki USA...maybe they are managed by the same folks that manage GM/Chrysler/Ford...there are some poor decision-makers running the show....when they do sell what may be a decent bike here, it is plain ugly...and they eventually drop the line....have y'all heard that the Z1000 is officially dropped from the 2009 lineup?...this leaves Kawasaki with cruisers, rocket-bikes, and dirt bikes

Re: standards with high power.
Numbah 10 bad idea, IMO. The twin shock/conventional fork setup cannot deal with 130+ HP reliably, never mind with the average 7/10ths rider at the bars.
Sooooo, the Big K's lawyers are no dummies. They do NOT want lawsuits from goofs who can't handle an overpowered chassis and running gear.
How brand y has escaped massive lawsuits involving the old VMax is beyond me.....

EXACTLY! My thoughts at this moment are to locate an 06-07 ZX10R (shame on me for liking the under-seat exhaust the way Kawasaki did it;) ) and 'Fighter it with ProTaper bars, no fairing, but some custom front lights that won't foul the air-intake (it'll need longer cables, but so what). My only concern is if the footpegs will be comfortable enough. Comfort AND power...what a thought!...that's what all the open-bores were before the late 80s! Good greif, well over 150 screaming ponies at the rear wheel, on the F-ing ground...as it should be!

I like ZRXs but they need more power and top-shelf suspension...the rest we can handle, but I doubt if they give us that bike, eh?

Here's a zrx with some horsepower. This lives in Portland OR and is a member on another site I'm on. I can't remember what HP he is putting down but it is crazy.

Jeeeeez, I can't imagine why! Nice ride. That from ZRXOA? I have a buddy on there, and I'm on once in a while. His ZRX is great, but he too wants more power.
