how the hell does that kwaka sound so bad ass. is it the soundtrack or did they beef up and remove baffles. love that sound . i think you can almost hear the cam chains humming.

i came across this company selling the jim goose body kit for the KZ. it was used on a few bikes in mad max.

What is the price?

I think it was a stock motor. At least the carbs looked stock. It had a X-pipe with no baffles, I believe.

I don't know much about the Goose bike, but did get an email back from the guys HeavyZ links to. I was asking about the seat/tail section availability.

This is the answer I got:
"Hi Rob: yes we will have those pieces available in june. you are looking for the tailpiece like the one on goose's bike?
We will have that and possibly the fully upholstered seat pan as well. I will thank heavy z for the referral. What year /CC bike you have???"

The price of these fairings alone is thru the roof.
Get a good air brusher or your thowing your money away.
The paint job will make or break it.

I always wondered how well does that fairing work at buffeting the wind? I know it looks badass but never knew how well it really worked.

If mounted solid the RIGHT way on the bike. It's a perfect wind sceen. Never has been a problem at high speeds.

I'm glad to hear that they are actually functional too not just cosmetic. That will make it easier to convince the wife that we need to go on the top romin diet because after all i do NEED to have one of these. I have a friend who has a great saying for this kind of situation. He always said it was for the children, and if anybody asked him what children he would tell them that everybody is somebody's child.

Hello Kz-riders, i am new at the forum, let me just introduce myself:
i am from Germany, ride that fine Kawa´s more than 30 years now
..by the way: the picture that roy-b-boy-b has sended upright here, is my first " jim Goose-replica" i´ve build up in 2006/7, it was the first nearly authentic replica in europe this time...
As a Mad Max fan since 1978, i was after that fairing for years, and, as the most of you, without any success.
Than, a friend down under send me that fairing , a " Mark IV ", a few generations away from the first movie-style fairing....
This year in january, i´ve found another one, and than, i´ve started a long and dusty job:
Cut it into pieces, create, or, if you will, " Re-created" the fairing totally new, that the design is close as possible to the original / movie one...but judges yourself!
I´ve let now made this fairing kit exclusive for me by an fiberworker in an very good quality, if you have any questions about, please feel free to ask!
Enjoy the pictures the pictures! Best Z-greetings from Germany, Joe
Greetings, Joe
