Z1 Parts on craigslist
02 Jan 2008 12:17
I saw this in the LA craigslist. Normally I would'nt bother, but he's got some parts that someone may want, and he ships anywhere.
I didn't call or email him, and I don't know the seller. Also, don't know if he also sells on ebay. Just thought I'd pass along what I found.

Interesting...he is selling blank Z1 engine cases...in theory you could make 'matching' cases for a Z1 you are restoring

I wasn't sure how someone could get an "unstamped" engine case. I don't know much about such things... do you think he milled off the old engine number?

Maybe I'm totally off base on this one, but sounds to me like something you would do if you didn't want someone tracing where you got the engine from.

Genuine Replacement cases from kawasaki do not have a engine number. I had a Z1R that blew and the cases were damaged. The replacement cases from the dealer are unstamped as they are parts not a specfic engine. - Mike

Craigslist has a lot of scammers on it. He has a lot of choice things for sale. 1 part you want, 2 your offer, 3 your phone number.
