If you are in the U.S., that second, orange example is more like what you have. Notice the wheels. I'm not sure what bike that is, but the exaggerated wheel difference is more like what the Ltd 440 would have. The normal LTD style wheels, I think, are 19" front and 16" rear. (The orange bike in the pic looks even more extreme on the wheel sizes.)
That middle pic has the standard version wheels, which are much harder to find in the U.S.. I think they might be 18" front and rear, but I'm not sure.

I forget what all it requires, but if it has kick start then I believe you can run without a battery. It's replaced with a capacitor. I don't have kickstart on my bike so I haven't really looked into it. Someone else will know though.

Unfortunately, in the Kz400/440 series, if it has a kickstart, it usually needs a battery, and if it doesn't, it can usually go without a battery. There are only a very few models that will have the kickstart and can go batteryless.
But, you can get batteries nowadays that are almost as small and light as capacitors, so it's not a huge deal.
