well, I have been progressing but have been slow to post.

Finally got my main cap plate, and got main cap milled.



Ordered a new HD cam chain



And sent my transmission out to get backcut. Just got back today, and i am very pleased with it.




Now just need to empty out the cases again so i can send the upper case out to get bored for my gpz1100 sleeves.

Got my tranny backcut for $100 plus shipping! Looks like a good job. Work was done by member "funny 1" over at www.dragbike.com . He was great to work with, and i will be doing business with him in the future.

Funny1 used to race a funnybike in years past. Was or is still one hell of a mechanic on these KZ's. This guy has forgotten more then most of us will ever know about these bikes. This is one of those guys that when he speaks, you should listen when it comes to our favorite motorcycle.

well.............................. LOOK WHAT I BOUGHT!!! Got them for a steal of $60. They are wiseco 1327cc 10.5:1 bare pistons. They are a little larger than what i was originally planning for my build, but the more i go to the dragstrip, the less i care about having the 1000 be really streetable (thats what the 810 is for).

ive got the perfect pistons for you if you want a more streetable pump gas motor

I have a nice set of cases all bored painted and ready for a 1327 cyl. Have cyls too.let me know if u need anything.
can u still get rings for those pistons?

Thanks alot Old Man Rock. I am trying to learn as much as i can, and most of my knowledge and inspiration has come from you guys. Mark, i would be very interested in some of that stuff you listed, i will contact you when i'me not broke :laugh: . To make things worse, I just spent $250 on another bike. Couldn't pass up the deal though. My buddy and i picked up an H1, and an S2 today for $500!!! I got the s2 so that now i can make one out of the 2 parts bikes. The s2 has good compression, a title, and looks very good. The h1 is stuck, but is in overall good condition
