I got the 4-1 headers in, sanded and painted, installed on bike. I tried to fit the can back on but I don't think it is going to work. It is too big. I'll go a different route. Right now I am just running it on open headers and it sounds super awesome (although the neighbors might disagree, and I'm not too sure about running it too long because it might overheat right?). Anyways, I adjusted the carbs and tuned it all up and it runs like a dream. It is a bit slower than the first davo-cycle in 1st gear but I think once I upgrade the ignition/coils I'll be good to go. It isn't the pretiest, but I like where it's at right now, except for the seat I need to re-do and the bodywork isn't all up to snuff. Oh well. I can ride it, and I'm sure it will scare small children so I'm happy.

Scratch that above, It wasn't the can itself that was wrong, it was the angle I was trying to get it at, it wasn't right. Here it is and it looks a lot better.
