We decided to go with a Vance and Hinze 4 into 1 because the original system was rotted out .
but now I can't figure out how to stop the center stand from hitting the chain.

We have this part that came off the bike and I'm sure it attached to a muffler but I can't figure out where it goes.

Kawasaki.com is only giving me a parts list now for some reason and no diagram

We want to keep the center stand so any solutions or pics would be appreciated.

Thanks,

JD

Try the diagrams at Parzilla. It's probably supposed to attach to a muffler/footpeg stay that's welded to the frame. It could be that someone cut it off?

Wow, thanks for finding that Ed, very ingenious

Thanks Martin, I found it on Bike Bandit and I'm hoping to make it work temporarily until I can fabricate something.

Definitely want to keep the center stand on .

Kerker included a stopper like on Robs bike. The original goes away when the stock exhaust is removed. You can make your own using a threaded rod and bend it to mimic what the picture shows. No need for the rubber bumpers, just metal to hold the stand at the height you want it to be.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Well it just so happened that I had some 5/16" threaded rod laying around and was able to bend up a decent stop on the first try, I think the pink fuel siphon hose adds a nice touch :P

Please notice the spring in the back ground it is the original spring off 650ed's bike and it looks prefect , thanks for the MoJo Ed I hope I can meet up with you and your bike in person someday and buy you lunch ;)

Man i wish mine had the center stand on it. It would make life easier on me sometimes. But the stand stop is a really great idea. If i put one on mine i will keep this in mind.
