How old is the battery? If you're not positive it's less than 3 years old, I would start by replacing it as it will need to be replaced soon anyway. Ed

On these bikes, the battery has a sensor that turn on a warning light on the instrument control panel. Finding a replacement battery might be difficult, and you just can't pull the old sensor out and put in a new battery.I used a 9 volt battery to fool the battery sensing system., otherwise the flashing battery warning will drive you nuts.

Correct, the replacement battery w/sensor is no longer available. You will have to ground the sensor to trick it.

Got new spark plug wires. Started it and it has been running great ever since. Thanks everyone for the help!!!

I know it has been awhile.....But I got a new battery, with the censor, but were is the wire to attach the censor???
The old battery did not have one and the idiot light was not always flashing. Thanks in advance.

In grounding the sensor do you ground the wire on the deal going into the battery or is there another one at the sensor ?
