I'll be good for August, my doubts about riding at end of month is working me pretty good.

I quickly realized my first rally that jeans and regular boots just weren't going to protect me at all. I owe a lot to forrest and the guys on the zrxoa forum. Teaching by example and vicarious experience is priceless.

It's funny you say that. I took ques from you and Forrest. I saw you guys in full gear and decided that was a smart thing to do. Really glad I did.

Rally is a little over a month away! Talked to Craig Williams the owner of the Ute Bluff Lodge today. He is looking forward to our visit. What is he, Crazy?!

I also plan on riding through this area and stopping to visit the Ute Bluff Lodge either on my way out to the West Coast on my Concours 14 or on the way back. Those dates are next week around June 25th or 26th. Will report back then.

Your welcome and no problem. My only concern is time management while riding these distances. The C-14 is getting driving lights installed this weekend and new tires spooned on. It should be up to the task. Let's hope I am!

Unfortunately, I have bad news. I will NOT be attending the Relay Rally in August. This means that I will not be able to transport the flag to the Rally either :S

I simply do not have enough time to get the bike up an running and get enough testing done to make sure it is road worthy. Sorry guys.

B) What Peter said! You have done more than your fair share! You still have about a month but if the bike is not going to be completed and you wish to come to The Rally then get there any way you can, even on four wheels. I will have two bikes so you can ride one of mine. Get in touch for details. Call me, we can work it out. If you really want to be there, we can make it happen together. We will have AZ covered at The Four Corners Ride during the Rally so don't worry about that. Hope you still can make it Jon.

UPDATE: I visited The Ute B luff Lodge & Campsite on Thursday June 26th. Stopped and visited with Craig & Annette Williams. The Lodge and campground look great. It is located right on the south side of U.S. Route 160 on the east side of town. They are looking forward to hosting our Rally. Craig even has a KLR 650 that I would love to steal and get up on some of the unpaved dual sport roads in the area.

U.S. 160 going west from South Fork is one great motorcycle road. I took some pictures and will see about posting soon.
