Click on the link to the map on my signature, this will take you to the Relay map. But you will need to have a Google account and already signed into it in order to be able to edit the map and put your pin onto the it.

1. Zoom in to the city or town you are located first. Don't use the search feature to do this. Just use the pan and zoom features. Otherwise a search will link you away from the realy context map..
2. You will see a red "Edit" button on the top of the left window pane. Click on it.
3. On the upper left side of the right window you will see the blue pin. Left click on it once.
4. The blue pin will get highlighted. Then left click once and drag the pin to your desired location, and left click again to anchor the icon at your location. This opens a small dialog window where you can add your information.
5. You are offered the opportunity to input a title (your moniker and location in text if you like) and a brief description.
6. Left click the "OK" button and then the 'Save" button followed by the "Done" button on the left window pane.

You can always go back and edit if you make a mistake.

Just dropped my location in on the map, Vancouver. Super stoked for this and I Think it's the coolest idea I've seen in a long time.

Welcome Chris , glad to have you on board.
The flag is moving at its own pace so please be patient, it will get there.

So we are getting some buzz on Reddit , that's cool ,my boys talk about that site a lot.
Can you post a link to the tread please, it would be nice to see what the world is saying about it.

Thanks! Lol, in looking at the map and hte timeline so far, I figure it'll be awhile till it finds the pacific northwest but I'm a patient man!

Not a problem. Nothign much was said, just someone who had already participated in the relay posting some pictures about it and a handful of resulting comments (most of which were me enquiring about it lol)

The weather has been very good for the guy's riding with the flag. I wonder how much longer it will hold out?
Here in the center of Oregon it has been not to bad at all, just a bit wet and windy a few days. 2 snows so far but it melted quick, and warmed back up. The biggest problem I'm having is my 2 relay tee shirts are getting a bit faded from wearing them.
I've got a weeks vacation in my pocket waiting for a chance to ride with the Flag!
Looks to be quite a hole in the route in the west states of Arid-zone-A, and Nevada. Hopefully some riders will step up when it gets in the SW.

You guys in the NW leg need a take charge guy, the sooner the better.

One thing I've found is it can be hard getting a hold of someone if they don't check in regularly or give someone a phone number .
