Thanks TG, I'll leave it for now and get on with other things. I´ve spend two weekends on cams and few results although i have learned a lot.
Many open fronts and little time from now to May 1 test

Great track day at Jarama. Was a cafe racer festival with few racers but 30 beautiful bikes. Only a Gsxr750, a new Thruxton and new Xjr1300 was faster than me. My bike works like a true racer reving like a demon with smooth cornering. I must change something to improve the entry on slow corners but even so it's not bad
Ferodo Cp1 is amazing, and i improved the slippage with Ebc springs.
Finally can´t got the Avon´s so mostly was a training day with aesthetical changes like you can see on the video.
Oil temp gauge keeps all time 80º C (176º F) and I doubt if it will be too little and i should to change from ngk 8 to 7.

Wow! That looks like it was a really fun show. Your KZ sounds great too!
Someday, I gotta get up the gumption to get on a track and see how big a smile is hidden by my full face helmet :woohoo:
I doubt I'll ever do the ton but it's making me grin like crazy to think about it now.

leitz, your bike is the best looking out there! for the simple reason it was built to perform, not pose ;)

i will spare you my comments about those baloon tired "racers" :)

but when does your REAL racing season start?

if i can give you a recommendation for the season now that your bike is in functional order, stop thinking about the bike and concentrate on your riding. that's where youll chop whole seconds off. only technical thing to be concerned with is the right gearing for the track, very important. hope you have a set of 2-3 rear sprockets to play with, it can make a big difference in lap times if you are geared right.
if it helps, i run in my gpz750/810 41-42 in most tracks. with your smaller motor/less power you might even need a 43

Thanks Wrenchmonkey!!
I need a one piece leather suit. I´ve to finish the racing belly pan, safety wiring, front plate number, etc
Now i´m tired and need to focuse on my work so i´ll repose this project for some weeks. It´s not a short-term project i´m 41 yo and know i´m in time and want to keep calm.
This year i´ll improve my riding and go to Motorland Aragon or Valencia Circuit and would like to race in Cartagena at November. Last weekend i was more comfortable on the track, I got less tired and go faster
Next year will be a new category up to 750cc 1977. Perfect for me
I like touring my Kz1000 but but nothing like riding hard my 650 on track. Racing has to be awesome!!! :) :)

Turboguzzi: thanks a lot for the tips!! i´ll get 41 and 43 aluminium rear sprockets. At Jarama i had needed more speed so 41 could be fine.
My Z1000:
