so what year and model gsxr? And does it bolt right up with stock kz axle bolt? Does the disks bolt right up to the rim? Sorry for so many questions. I really want to update the front end also.

Here's how i provided clearance also i would go with the 530 chain , modern 530 chains are lighter and just as strong as old 630 chains . also gsxr rims will not fit kz axle's,but just about any thing can be made to fit with a little effort ;) . I really like the start of your polishing.

Thanks, its alot of work polishing i worked on it alot more today. But usually just little day by day. Ya i didnt know how jeffg1 did it. Iam looking to run a gsxr rim or rim to closely match the rear busa rim and i hear the handling and stopping abilities are greatly improved. I was just trying to see what all goes into it so i can decide the best route to go about it. I will have the frame notched while its apart. to allow for the chain. Got the change going out tomorrow morning for the pistons. Cant wait to get the parts back. Even tho i still got alot to do.

Anyway i have been looking into lock up clutches. I see Joe at pitstop sells a two stage snowflake lock up for a reasonable price. Even includes the labor of installing the buttons. Anyway how does everyone check there oil level with aftermarket cover? I think i would see if theres a way to install a sight glass. But then again i got a oil cooler that will be going on there. So a sight glass might not do any good. I was looking before when i bought the cooler at summit racing and they had check valves that open at 2 psi. Think those would be safe and efficent in keeping the oil in the cooler while the motor is off allowing you check the oil level via the sight glass? I know iam rambling just a few ideas running thru my head. You know how it goes

I bought one of Joes MTC lockups, machined it to take the sight glass, no biggie but did have to open up some of the bolt holes, it wouldn't bolt up the way it came. No fault of Joes, MTC's doings.

So yesterday i broke down and bought alot more parts. Spent over $500 on stuff. Bought mtc two stage lock up from pit stop, New stock clutch fibers and springs. rear busa caliper and bracket. Aluminum 1000 J cam end caps. I got some other stuff also just cant remember what all i got. Anyway i am ready to order a new REAR sprocket for my new build and i am wondering which will be the best size to go with? This bike will be street ridden. I dont want it reved out at 55 or 60. I will be getting a special sprocket made so i want to get the right size first time round. Currently iam running a 39 tooth on the rear. I thought about stepping up one tooth? I think iam running a 15 on the front but not sure.I will discuss front sizes later when i get to that point. Anyway iam taching about 4.5g at 55 if i remember correctly. Would like to get it down a bit yet still have some bottom end power also. so what does everyone think will be the best size?

it's best to wait until u get the rear tire mounted and measure from there. u will need a 1/2" to 5/8" offset. no need for a custom sprocket. u can get them off the shelf from D&G and others. i have a spare 5/8 x 16 x 630 if u need 1.
i heated the inner frame rails and squeezed it in with a large C clamp to gain chain clearance, and had the rear hub milled as well.
u should think about more crank case venting and a Honda 900f starter for more cranking power, also a sprocket support plate. i needed that stuff for my 1327, and 1200.
i went through all of this in my build thread.
have a look here. it may have some info that can help u.

just holler if u need an explanation.

The sprocket iam discussing will be on the rear and i have looked for a 630 busa rear sprocket but cant find any but found websites that make them. I am having les mill the rear hub for me as we speak. I have debated on the starter i know i will probally need one. Havent ever heard about more crankcase venting? I will look into that.
