Except for the sensor, you have to order that separately - $ 10 if I remember correctly.

The sensor is just a simple reed switch that clicks each time the magnet passes it = once per wheel revolution - the position of the magnet relative to wheel center won't matter, you just measure the circumference of the wheel you attach the magnet to, program it it into the Acewell and it'll know the distance travelled per click and convert it to mph/kph.

Trying to use a rotor bolt hole like OMR I had magnet/caliper interference issues when I installed the 2802 on my 1100 so I attached the magnet to my rear sprocket (drilled and tapped the sprocket) and made a sensor bracket that attaches to the lower rear shock mounting bolt. Had to make a longer cable for the sensor, no big deal.

Yeah since I'm retaining my Kawi front wheel I got the speed pickup that screws into my speedo drive on the wheel.

It's there....

Well, first off sweet bike you got there.

I see you mounted the sensor on the outside of the wheel, but isn't there another magnet that you have to attach to the actual wheel? Where did you attach yours?

The 2802 includes everything you'll need for magnetic pickup. They include 2 sized rotor bolt/magnets...

You will need to fab up a sensor bracket though... Unless of course you order a drive to pickup interface...

I'm not that certain about the 2802, but all I had to get for mine was the hall sensor, which was included when I bought it from a store on ebay.

Yeah I just wanted to make sure it would be possible without having to buy seventeen other parts after I bought the 2802.

Watch out in my build thread in the project forum. I have an Acewell 3901 I'm going to be putting on in a couple weeks time. All you need is the unit itself and the proper speedo adapter. They have a magnetic thing you can hook up yourself, but there's also a hall sensor you can screw into your speedo drive thats avaliable.

Theres a few issues with the wiring diagram that they sent me with mine, didn't have the pinouts for the indicator light pigtails. But thankfully I'm an engineering student with full access to a wicked electrcal lab, so I'll get it all sorted out in no time. But yeah, I'll post up a lot of pics and directions, and feel free to shoot me any questions you have about it anytime.
