Can you just twist these off? Looking at the parts diagram it looks like they may, but I need to make sure. I'd hate to break them.

Yes, on my 74 Z1 they twist off. This is what it looks like underneath... One of the reflectors on my rear shocks is stuck though... Just go easy.

Yep, as stated above they do screw off. And IF you happen to break one ..DON'T worry. I have one or two I could send ya;) For NADA, ZIP ( I need the karma and I likes ya')
And if you wanted new I'm sure Jeff has some. Another kinda' cool option is the Euro look like Jeff's got on his turbo. The polished stainless disk.

Thanks for the offer Pat! B) Mine came off easy today. Makes it much easier to sand the forks. I also would like to eliminate or cover them.

Your forks might be backed up a while...I can't even finish mine with all the BS going on with my house right now. :unsure:
