somewhere in the old forum somebody had a picture of a kit that had weld in braces for the kz frame. does anybody know a company that sells these or a picture of a frame that has them? i cant seem to find them anywhere. thanks, ryan.

Kosman Racing still sells just such a kit. I'm having my Kosman kit welded onto my '78 KZ1000 frame shortly.

These old frames need all the help they can get. Yes, improved suspension components are a big help.

However, I can squeeze any two of the three top frame tubes with my hands such that both tubes deflect a few millimeters -- now that's a flexible frame!:ohmy:

Three: triangulated bracing in the rear subframe. The diagonal across the frame from top right to lower left is considered optional, for monster torque (drag bike), but I said what the hell. No air box for the bike once you put that on there.
