Can I add alloy wheels from an SR KZ650D to my same year KZ650B? It looks like it might require a swingarm change for disk caliper mounting. Is there more to this? Thanks LexPaul

Other than the disk brake, is there a reason you are considering the rear wheel from a SR? In any case, there's more to it than just the swingarm. There's also the rear master cylinder that would need to be attached to the frame (welded) , the brake pedal, etc. Also, are you aware that the rear wheel on the SR is 16" instead of the 18" on the KZ650-B? I mention this because that will give the bike more of a cruiser look which may look a bit odd considering the KZ650-B seat, tank, etc. are not cruiser type items.

If your objective is to use alloy wheels have you considered using something that's a better match? For example - the KZ650-F used alloy wheels but with a rear drum brake, and the rear wheel is 18" like the B model. Ed

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationUnfortunately, an 18" drum cast alloy wheel is probably going to be hard to find. You can probably use the wheels from a 650-Ltd, but it has a 16" Rr. Also, I'd guess you can use the wheels from a KZ550 & 83 650-CSR. The 550A has an 18" Rr, but the 550C & 650-CSR are 16".

Here's a new pair of wheels for a 550C Ltd.
$200T shipped isn't terribly high for new wheels IMHO, especially since it appears they have the wheel bearings.
