I know I have a lead wrist and haven't been on long rides so the mileage has dropped by close to 1000 miles. Still some meat left but I doubt another 1000 miles worth. Getting a new one this weekend.

I think the super hot roads play hell on tires , especially the softer ones.

Time for me to replace the back one, I probably have 10 K on it, but we haven't ridden in oppressive heat all year .
The first year back on the road I had Michelin's and it was real hot around here, they didn't last long.
Avons ever since

I was looking at them. I wonder if the rear would play well with my front tire?

Geeze Steve, looks like you've been spending to much time in the water box with that rear tire....

I use to mix tires back in the day and had to worry about speed wobbles , these days I can set the cruise control to 70 and take my hands off the bars.
no trouble above double goose eggs either but I still hang on ;)

That's right, been out here too long. I thought he was referring to my little shop and the swamp cooler. Feels like a water box sometimes.
My bad.

Almost at 5000 miles. About the same wear as the last two I changed. Didn't come with the yellow label I use to log the milage.
