I agree that a clog seems like the most likely explanation. I know I had a front brake line that was so clogged that nothing came out of the far end.

If it would help, I have a spare Z1R master cylinder I can dig out to try to figure out what the fluid path looks like between the bore and splitter. But it may take me a few days to find it. :)

I would remove and clean the break line splitter, something must be clogged in it.

The splitter is integrated into the master cylinder on the Z1R. It's a single piece.

Not sure what fixed the problem, I switched brake lines and calipers, I also removed the new K&L piston Re- Installed the old oem M/C Piston. I managed to get fluid to the caliper and called it quits. Today I will get after it again and try to bleed and get brakes to function. Now I know why I stick with Z1's

It's come to my attention that the Z1R front brake system is beyond my mechanical capabilities. I couldn't care any less if that TC ever sees the pavement again. I'm done with it
