I have a buddy who went the kreme route and swore by it. This was back in the dark ages when the best way to clean the inside of a tank was a handfull if sheetmetal screws and an hour of shaking. We've come a long way baby.

It may be the old KREEM that was a problem, not sure if it has changed over the years.

Thats what kept me from using it.

I saw a lot of picture of it peeling off and clogging up petcocks.

kreem works excellent but it does have one big problem tho. follow the directions to the letter and it works awesome don't follow them and you end with trouble
...

Wholly crap, there's instructions?....   :woohoo:

Yes indeed and this holds true for Kreem or Por-15 products... For that matter, holds true for paint (RON) :P , CLEARCOATS (Markk1122):P , primers, prep work etc... basically any chemical product will lead to 100% FUBAR if not used correctly.

Are some better than others, you bet but either of these two products will work just fine...

Ordered the POR-15, should be here anyday. I have no holes in the tank, thankfully, so i might just leave it at the acid treatment. Main objective is a clean tank, not necassarily coated, no? See how bad it is, see if the acid doesn't make a hole.. Thanks for the input
