Am questioning whether this part number 21148 on the 1982 KZ1000 LTD is a spring-weight style advancer unit?
If it is, why does Dyna make an issue about it?

I liked it a lot better when they called it an "advancer" instead of a "governor-breaker."

np just don't ask me how centrifugal force force works lol.
orThe apparent force, equal and opposite to the centripetal force, drawing a rotating body away from the center of rotation, caused by the inertia of the body.
the little flap bits move out the faster it spins

Am thinking "advancer" shown in above quote is the oem style with points ignition, and retained when converting from points to Dyna-S.
And that the "advancer" pictured below, sometimes referred to as "governor-breaker," is the later oem style with electronic ignition and retained when converting from oem electronic ignition to Dyna-S. The oem electronic ignition also has a separately located "igniter" which isn't used with the Dyna-S.

Wondering which ignition system Dyna instructions might be referring to that doesn't have either an advancer or governor-breaker as pictured in this post, or is Dyna just saying that Dyna-S is unsuitable whenever a spring-weight advancer aka governor-breaker isn't already there?
Good Luck!

Thanks That one line in the instructions just made me unsure if the dyna s would work for me. The main reason I want to use it is that I have 2 sets of 3 ohm coils.
Thanks for your help
