3mm is about 0.14" and 1/8" is 0.125". It'll maybe be a bit tighter but it should work.

When dealing with an almost too snug tube fit, may dip end of hose or tube into a cup of boiling water for a few seconds, and then it usually slips easily onto the nipple.
I just heat a half cup of water in the microwave.
Sometimes a little silicone lube will suffice, but imo the hot water dip works better.
This applies to any of the various carb tubes, hoses, and fuel line also.
Good Fortune!

For that black overflow tubing I use windshield washer tubing which I find in the autoparts store or Mallwart in the area where you find the wiper blades. The tubing comes in a little box with about 2M of 6 feet and not only is it oil and gas resistant and stays flexible but it is cheap. I cant remember the ID. Perhaps 7/32 ...whatever that is. I'm to used to metric

everyone is right..use any tubing that will fit snugly. metric or SAE doesnt matter much as long it will fit and not fall off. fuel resistance is a plus!
seafoam it!!!!!!! all seafoam does is break down crud in your fuel system and it burns hot, it burns off the carbon on your valves, combustion chamber ect.
I love seafoam, i soak jets and carb parts in pure seafoam.works gooood!

But can you overdo it in your fuel tank? I would hate to dump half a can in at fill-up and melt something. Never used it before.
