Are there these APE filters for BS34's? I can't find dimensions, but they would need to be 54mm ID.

I got them in today. I went home for lunch to take a look at them. They are packaged well at least.

I can tell you they are NOT as pictured on APE's website. They are NOT oval shaped. They are a tapered style. I have been told the tapered style works better, so I'm not too upset about that.

I must say I am not impressed with the design of the mating surface to the carb. The inside(actual surface that will contact the carb.) is not ribbed. That does not make me feel well about them actually staying on. Do they expect the rubber to bite the rib on on the carb. inlet in order to stay on? Also, the outside surface(where the hose clamp goes) does not have a lip to keep the hose clamp in position.

I was told they are pre oiled; however, there is no oil deposit on the plastic of the vacuum sealed package that the filters came in. There is no oil deposit left on my hand if I touch the filter element. There is no way they are oiled. I do have K&N element oil from other filters, so I can oil these, if I use them.

At least the unoiled element appears to be K&N quality.

I will post pics and measurements when I get home in a few hours. I have a gut feeling I will be tossing $10 shipping here + $10 shipping back + 20% restocking fee... if they will allow a return. If only I had the bike to at least see how they snug onto the carbs.

I will at least see how one feels on the carb. I will not be back down in SC until June 6th, so I will try it then. If I don't like it I have 30 days from today to send them back, and lose $30. :(
