Do u think it would be a waste of money? or a worthwile purchase ?

it depends on if your trying for optimium set-up all the time or are traveling alot and going to lots of different elevations if you are just riding around locally and just occasionally i wouldn't worry about it if you take you bike in to most yamaha sahops that have been around for a while you could get them to throw it on there e.g.a and they could tell you pretty quick wether you are rich or lean and then it is only a matter of changing needle heights or mains to suit.
