Looking at some 74mm pistons.
Nominal 17mm wrist pin. Actual 17.45mm and it's press fit to piston bosses.
Wrist pin offset and distance to crown are suitable for use in kzJ with a small block spacer. Valve cutouts are 'just right'.

I need to know spec dia and tolerances for the 17mm pin OR the rod used in the 'J' engines so I can learn if I can convert these to floating pin.

I have the manuals but they are all 45 miles away :-(

Thanks.

Thanks. The 17.45mm is going to be too big and I'm not going to bore out the rod ends. Darn, they were nice pistons too, and cheap.

They are not kawasaki specific. They just happen to be close enough to use if the pin boss was a bit smaller. A little bit of spacer under the block would have done the trick.
