Larry,
Well I have a factory service manual, and the supplement, but seeing on how I fiddled with the cam chain today, I got the link to work. I always have a back-up engine that if anything happens to this one, then I'll send out the crank, and rods. I've split the cases, and seen what's in there, and who knows, someday I'll venture into rebuilding it.

It's in there.
:woohoo:

If the tool don't work, make it work!!!

I got the K&L from Jeff at Z1 to work perfectly but it was a regular chain, not the hyvo style. I thought I might be able to help when I saw the thread's title, but I guess not. Sorry!

Keep us posted on the progress.

Yeah, I didn't give Z1 and guff about the tool, because my chain is different, and I didn't specify or know, nor did they ask. I just ordered what I thought I needed. Nao I know.

I agree, and have 3 shirts that I wear proudly from time to time(not all at the same time mind you), along with plans to order from them in the future. They're not in my backyard, but as long as UPS Delivers... :woohoo:

have used the tool on hy-vo chains and as long as you dremel the head of the pins before pushing them out all is good. if someone has already broken the small pusher pin in the tool set another can be machined to suit. Hardest bit is stacking the rags so the dust from the dremel doesn't coat everything (I use a diamond round tip burr)

As for pulling down and reassembling the engine, I have one 750 down for parts and another coming down for rebuild, was a bit worried about reassembly but after doing the starter clutch changeout on the daily rider last month I have no fears of being able to do the whole shebang if I stick to the book and keep checking to make sure I'm on the straight and narrow.
