i agree whit 77kz650.. iwould alos have the crank welded. i did this years ago when i droped the 1075 kit in.

Im due myself, having about 65k miles on the original top end on the 1000J, but I wanna keep the reliability so I can use it for a daily commuter if I wanted to.
1075 kit with cams, dunno, gotta see what Jay recommends.

K1076 kit, 410 cams, sprockets, valve springs. You will think it came from Kawasaki like that.

Discussing this in another thread titled 'compression'
I was informed(thanks) that E85 is available in my local. Had not know this. Takes care of the compression but question is now...what, if any, ill effects on engine components form all that methanol.

It has less btus than gasoline. It doesn't make as much power. Using it so you can run 12:1 would result in less power that 10.5:1 and gasoline.
