I felt Ed's suggestion made sense using the threaded hole already in the sprocket,,,,, so after so shopping on McMaster Carr's web site, I found a metric washer with a tang, that measured up almost perfect,,,,, so an easy fix , thanks to Mc Master Carr and their excellent web site.

Excellent solution to your problem and super easy too! For the good of the group you may want to list the part number for that washer from McMaster to make it easy for people to locate it.
