That's what I was worried about trying to stop the base gasket leak. Went to 35 then 40 and now finally 42lbs. This time around I'll use red Loctite being they will never be removed again. Two of the stock studs had been removed at some point but I don't remember why. These aren't the original cases so it may have been done by the PO. 
Nice to now they can handle it and with new gaskets they should be fine.
