Update to the issue. I decided to try to seal it without taking off the exhaust. I loosened the clamps, put some RTV in the grooves and around the ends. I got new bolts that wouldn't break when tightening them. I tightened the heck out of them and it sealed the leak. However I am still getting noise from the exhaust but only when first accelerating. Then it quiets down. I say it is about 95% sealed.
I am going to leave it for now as it is getting a bit to cold to work in the garage. I do plan on removing the exhaust in the future and replacing the top gaskets. I like the clamps style Sciocco posted. I will get some like that and use some of the other ideas posted here , Thanks for help on this.

On a side note; the bike has so much more power with the newer exhaust . (only 1500 miles on them) I am blown away by the difference it made. The bike pulls like crazy in all gears now.
