Cam has black spots on intake side

Bike has been sitting for 14 years got it running run strong as top end chatter went to adjust shims and cam has black spots on it could this be from just sitting new member thanks for your help

I've noticed a pattern on the cam lobes if they weren't adjusted correctly. It seems to go away. On the tips of the lobes are another matter. That could be wear of the hard face.

Just on the backside of the cam away from the tips could be from sitting I don't know never seen this before
