Blued finish on chrome headers is indicative of excessive heat and/or a low-quality chrome finish. Neither condition is desirable so I'm not sure why you would like such a thing, but it's your bike.

My Vance and Hines stayed nice for years except for a little very light gold maybe on the upper 1/4th of the header.... then after the 700 kit it went a little golder then a couple of inches of blue over maybe 20% of the top of the pipes..... a little more heat from all that power..... cough cough.

My fathers 76 kz900 has a 1015
Piston kit, 29 smoothbores, pod filters, and the same v&h exhaust as mine. His is gold like u described. We cant figure out why mine are blue. Weve tested the air fuel ratio and through all the rpms its rich. Its getting good compression and runs great

I imagine this is what Tyrell imagines when he says he likes bluing. Those look amazing to me as well. Your bike in general is just WOW though.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration#1 & #2 may be running lean, but it's difficult to tell with the lighting...

This stuff works well at rubbing the blues away, but it ain't a simple wipe-on and wipe-off kind of thing:

?

If header colour is an indicaton of excess heat then why is it that whilst the Inner pots of an aircooled inline four run hotter - but I'm not seeing any significant differences in the bluing compared to the outer headers.

My stainless pipe has a yellow tinge at the headers, again equal discoloration on both inner and outer headers
