There is nothing hydraulic about the release mechanism you posted, and the 1100 has a different setup.

Oh, and this thread has been dormant for two years.

Don't care if it's been dormant for however long man. You answered. And when I had that release button out there was oil behind it. So sorry for using a term that didn't need to be used. Its good to know the models have different setups. But am I right about no adjustment on my model at least? Other than being able to move the lever on the release shaft, and cable adjustment. Take it easy

Attaching picture of the only thing about the clutch release on the kz750 shaft bikes. Only reason I commented on this forum, is because it was all I could find about any size shaft bikes at all, that's been posted.

Since I changed engine oil (from Brad Penn V2 to Shell Rotella T4) two days ago, my transmission shifts easier and the starter clutch engages consistently on the first attempt. Not sure how or why, but the parts do seem to interface better. :)

...the clutch works better too.

Im sure it just needs new clutch disc's. Starter engages great, and bike still shifts decent, had valvoline 10w40 which worked great, but changed to kaw 10w40 motorcycle 4 oil, which is better, but the exact same stickiness of shifter.

Shut the bike off in third gear so it'll shift if it has the same feel it is not the clutch.
I have seen the sprocket cover bind the shift shaft so when I install one I snug the bolts real light and work the shifter up and down a few times then tighten the bolts. Also if the bike has been rode for a while with no cover that can bend the shaft and cause binding.
