It has a one piece crank as far as I know. The balancer settings are in your MANUAL.

Do these chain driven counterweights need timing according to crank position ? Remember you need to turn a 4 stroke motor over twice to get it back to the same position.

Damaged alternator rotor magnets can put an engine out of balance.

I'd also be checking the compression to find out which valve is bent.

The balancer is there for a reason. Last year I rebuilt a Aprilla 650 single. The balancer and water pump is gear driven. Then a cam chain is driven by a sprocket on a common shaft with the water pump gear. This makes the cam rotate BACKWARDS. Couldn't find any timing marks besides one on the left side I was working on. The cam sprocket had marks on it too. Two of THEM. So I opened the right side. I found the timing mark on the alternator rotor and the timing trigger. The rotor had sheared all the #6m bolts. Normally I can figure most anything out but THIS, forget it. I paid the $35 for the manual on CD. Turns out the cam chain adjuster is oil pressure driven. When the bolts sheared, the bike lost power, the cam skipped a few teeth and the shop my neighbor Jeff took it to told him it was lunched. I got some #8 hardened bolts, reset the timing and it runs. He sold it for $3500, don't ask me how and I learned something. The engine was 1/2 made in Japan. It had French, Spanish and Italian parts. Shim over buckets and the most back assward engineering I've seen in a long time. So much for global engineering.
POINT is, if you don't have a manual, get one.
