investigating my problem - removing the clutch

re: the problem, i had posted a pretty detailed acct of what had happened to me (in a thread the otherday), so i just thought i'd post my very specific question.... but the point is well taken (all my not have seen/read that post)...

so, i think there is something wrong with the "shifter arm" (i only have access to 1-2 gears and cannot get the bike to be "fully" in Neut.)...

that's where i'm headed, but am taking really sma;; baby steps along the way...
