My pleasure, but I just noticed that your sig says you have a D1. I thought an '80 LTD was an A1. I'm not sure though....Awesome! Thanks Biquetoast!

I was a little confused by that...When I originally purchased the bike, I wasn't even aware of the A/B/C/D differences, but its a 440ltd, vin #kz440d-xxxx
Forgot to mention its also the beltdriven model.

Ron Ayers
usually has parts cheaper than Bike Bandit, & they have a part number lookup as well. Try Z1 first, though!
As for the 440 A/D thing: I had a 1980 KZ440 A1. It was a chain-driven LTD model. The 1980 KZ440 D1 is the belt-driven LTD. With a few obvious exceptions (belt/chain, pulleys/sprockets, maybe the chain guard inside the sprocket cover), the parts are interchangeable.

$22 vs $25, wonder which is closer / ships quicker. The assembly on ebay closes in 4 days and the seller won't end early (boo) so I've got a couple junk places to call before then. On the upside, I've got lots of time to clean and detail everything
maybe even repaint some of the pieces I've been meaning to get to.

I bought a rear brake rotor from these guys,
www.cycle-salvage.com/
, last year when I couldn't find a rear brake rotor for my SR anywhere locally. You might try them.

Cycle-salvage is a good place also and nice guys, they are about 30 minutes south of me in CT. They are good to find used parts and no hardleys allowed!
