oh i see what you mean. if i put the camshafts on incorrectly, they would crush against the pistons because the stroke is incorrect.

rstnick, you didn't notice that it's an 81 with a link plate (HyVo) chain and not an early model with a roller chain?
The pages you posted cover the early models

Oops, no I missed that.
If yours is the HiVo chain, the count is different.
