Oddly, none of these systems truly resemble the one on my'83 GPz 1100 and I haven't seens the same long gold-colored tag yet. I would post a photo but the bike is currently 400-miles away. I know for a fact it was purchased when the bike was brand-new and I believe was made to fit the twin-shocker as there is a pretty good dent where the uni-track hits it.

I also remember it being termed the "series 7 competition pipe" (required center-stand removal) as was the one I bought for my 82 GPz 550 in 1988. It has the straight-through all-steel baffle. It was superceded by the aluminum cannister type that I thought to be ugly at the time. It's a shame, but I think I just tossed my late-80's Yosh catalog about 2-years ago.

You can slightly see the long tag. Maybe my memory is out there, but I remember this being "Series-7"

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration

Not mine. NOS Mac on ebay for GPz1100, pretty sure it will fit the J, someone else surely knows how close for it and others.

When I bought my kz650 in the early 80s, it had a Yosh exhaust on it.
It had no baffle, so was a little loud. ;)
It got severly rusty over the years, so I bought a new Kerker.
Wish I had held onto the Yosh pipe, as I'm in need of an exhaust.

I have read this thread and cannot find any reference to primary tube diameter and length, which I have found to be more important than any measurement of the tail piece.
In 1982 I was putting my Z1 Superbike through AMA tech at Daytona. Ahead of me in line was Eddie Lawsons KZ1000.
I was running the Kerker Pro pipe that had 1 1/2" diameter tubes. Lawson was sponsored by Kerker and had a similar looking exhaust that was touted as their Pro pipe, but I measured 1 5/8" primary tubes. After trying in vain to buy one from Kerker, I took it upon myself to fabricate one...it worked great.
Those of you who have various pipes on hand now, please post up the outside diameter of the primary tubes.
