too late. I tore down the engine yesterday. The cylinder actually don't look all that bad. One has a bit of rust in it, the others look pretty good. You can still clearly see the honing marks. A couple of the cylinders have stuck rings. Strangely enough, those at the cylinders I found to have the highest compression.
Anyway i just bought a set of zn700 jugs and pistons with only 9k miles. It only cost me $40 + shipping! I will just have to paint the cylinders black.
