J & E. pistons come within 2.5 grams.
i had a piston out 8 grams and felt a buzz at 3500 rpms.
you may as well get them closer while there on the bench.
I have seen an extra oil hole added to the wrist pin boss for better oiling. so that is were i removed the material. I just started drilling an extra hole in the pin boss, untill the extra wieght was gone.I had to go through to the other side of the boss a bit on the heavey 1.Or u could just restart with a biger bit .
Hope this helps.

Very good point.
I noticed that my new J&E pisons dont have these holes. Instead, they have a hole drilled in the oil ring groove ,that leads to the wrist pin boss. Nice, this puts a bit of presure behind the oil to force feed the pin. B)

Heres the other posible issue I have with these pistons Fact is this is why I weighed them these are 1000cc
1 of the 4 has a different skirt than the other 3 but is lighter. And I never remember a buzz in the motor before
with the stock pistons which were a little different in weight also

i dont think the motor will notice the skirt design as long as its not too short to where it makes piston rock.B)
