I buy my brake lines and banjos from Z1 enterprises. you should be able to put together whatever you need there.

I'm not sure what length, it depends what handlebars you are running. its pretty easy to measure with a bit of hose or wire, then just subtract 3" for the banjo fittings. IIRC you need a 30 degree banjo for the master cylinder and a straight one at the splitter. but i would check against your bike to be sure.

Changed the fluid more than a few times over the last 36 years but never the lines .... and the manual says every 4 years.... talk about pushing your luck.... will very soon though (planning next year) with either Earls or Z1's.

Sometimes old rubber brake hoses start working like valves:
fluid goes to calipers but not back.

This is what the brake lines on my 750E looked like on the inside after 35 years...

You can "flush" the fluid all day long and you will never get this grung out.

Oh, and I use Earl's parts and make all my own lines too. I've got a photo tutorial describing the process if anyone wants to give it a go.

All 7 of my old Kawasakis still have original brake lines, even the 1974. Being 42yrs old the lines are really dangerous I suspose in theory but they work just fine.I did replace the lines once on the KZ1000MKII with braided stainless and they worked OK, just like old rubber lines, then later just preferred going back original. Be aware if you buy braided lines, the way they measure is end to end, not center of the banjo to center. Measure the whole length stretched out straight. No advantage to them or new lines in my opinion and experience.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Steve

When you flush the fluid how long does it stay clear? When there is scale on the inside of the line the clear fluid will turn browish after a few weeks as the crud sticking to the inside of the lines leaches out and contaminates the new fluid.
