No question. Just saying that that H2 kinda causes some shrinkage to occur when I compare it to my 750 twin.

F'ing things are monsters. Incredibly fast (for the time) in a straight line. And you gotta be careful 2 up, they will wheelie going into third

That one is either a 72 or 73, probably 73. I still have a 1974 H2 I bought in 1979. In 1979 it had 9000 miles on it, now has 10,000. Not a bike for everyone. Don't know why I keep mine really. It was much less money in 1979 than a Z1 or KZ1000 is the reason I chose a H2 back in the day.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

A friend that owned a bike shop had it. It was a 75.Told me it would smoke the Z1. Could have had it for $900. I got my Z1b for $2300. It was a demo model with 84 miles on it. Never regretted buying it.

The Z1 is as fast over the 1/4 mile as the 72 KH750 based on period tests, the real difference is the power delivery, whereas the Z1 has good power everywhere the KH750 has a relatively narrow but fierce powerband which is what made them so exciting and dangerous for the inexperienced. By 1975 the 750 had been tamed some and the Z1 was quicker. They are fantastic bikes though, in terms of their "legend" and the crazy performance of their time. Cars were so much slower back then that these bikes could humble the super cars of the time in a straight line, for a fraction of the price. They go for silly money now, I met a guy last week who had 2 of them in his garage as well as some Z1's and a turbocharged KZ900. Much as I love them I doubt I'll ever see one for the sort of money I'd be prepared to pay, I think one would become much more of a ornament than a regular rider, they are a little crude and vibrate compared to the Z1, KZ900's and KZ1000's that are still quite civilized even by today's standards - but I can still dream I'll find that one owner from new one in the small ads for sale by someone who has no idea what it's worth.

I had one.
Very fast in those super peaky RPMs but wheelied too easily and handled very poorly. Not terrible comfortable and sounded awful.
It was faster then my hot rodded Triumph Triple in a straight line but nowhere near as fun to drive.
Not as fast as my mildly hot rodded KZ1000 ...which was able to hit high 11.80s and 12.00s fairly easily back in Detroit
Never took the stock H2 to the strip.

actually made as much torque as a Z1 and only redlined at 7500rpm.

before selling it to buy a Zephyr 750.
