Holy crap!
I lane split up a few cars when everyone stops in unexpected places. It's illegal but I don't want to die just because someone wasn't paying attention.
I have already been run off the road twice by people who were looking down at their cell phones.

Same here, i would be POed big time, I have had this happen more than once. Just lucky the ass end of the truck didn't swing the other way.
I'm not sure what our state law is regarding pulling over and stopping for a funeral, now i'm curious if it is respectful, or law to pull over?

Over the last 35 years of riding I have avoided numerous accidents by paying attention. I cannot count how many times some asshole not paying attention in a car has almost rear ended me had I not been paying attention. Drivers who do that need an ass wooping, saying, "I'm sorry" at that point simply doesn't cut it.
I have been in 3 accidents since 2007, one motorcycle accident, one in my private vehicle and one in my Cop car. ALL three were caused by an asshole using their cell phone. Needless to say I write a LOT of cell phone tickets. And FYI if I rolled up to an accident and saw some rider kicking the shit out of some cager for rear ending him I wouldn't arrest him. The guy doing the ass whooping would get a ticket for battery but then I would let him go and testify in court on his behalf based on my own experiences.

I think it should be legal to shoot and kill any driver who is texting. As long as there are parts of the cell phone in the wound channel the shooter should get a pass. If there are parts of the cell phone in a head wound channel the shooter should get a $25 U.S. savings bond. If the shooter used his or her weak hand, a $50 savings bond.

Im building up my bike right now,and its my first bike, so of course im not riding yet but wow that video gives me a drastic cautious perspective of what could happen when drivers text while driving. Ill be definitely pushing my friends to not do so when they do because i would never want to be involved in a rear end accident while riding my bike. Thanks for sharing that video!

Do your self a big favor and take the road course , they'll explain a lot more of the dumb ass things people do and how to avoid them.

Well, I'd like to know why the motorcycle riders were stopped? Unless there was some sort of dire need, they sure picked a heckuva place to pull over. It appears they could've at least moved more to the right. You have to assume that the cars behind you don't see you, for whatever reason. On a bright sunny day, brake lights & turn signals can be hard to see, especially the small integrated lights on some sport bikes.
