73 z1 9xxx frame etc

Just bought a titled running 78 kz1000 and the guy threw in a nice mostly original 73 z1 frame with chrome kickstand and swingarm march of 73 build date

Back to the 1000 front wheel is a morris mag on 73 forks and triple trees with a z1 tank.

Gonna get rid of the 81 j and get some parts or a parts 900 to finish but me and the mrs have a z1 and a 1000 now

Well the gauges he gave me are the z1s gauges too.

Minus the title (easy for me to get) and motor, little odds and ends i am
Close to a mostly there z1.

Like i said, trade the J and parts i wont use ( the morris mag and chrome swinger) to finish both bikes up

The frame itself isnt worth much without the engine to go with it. With a title its worth a little, but having the frame and cases is the most desireable. If you get a title you should advertise he frame for sale, someone may have a set of cases to go with it.

Oh i am aware of that, cases not worried, i dont care if it comes back to life as 903 or 1015.

Between the two bikes i am only missing a few odds and ends (i have controls/bars, gauges seats swingarms and two rollers) just needing a motor carbs and them little fiddly bits, a title last time was $50 and an afternoon

And i get an excuse to paint something rootbeer B)

Had to throw the morris mag on it with a stock 78 swing-arm
But the z1 is rolled out to the shed until i find a motor or a parts bike to use.

Time to start focusing on this

Well, quick update, i have the z1 carbies on the 1000 the jugs too. PO has the Z1 numbers matching motor in a bobber he's selling.

Now that is all cleared up i am looking around at a 900 motor and getting a title for the z

Trading my J for a 78ltd and gonna collect z1 parts or part with her I don't know yet
