I'd go with that bike.. There was a guy that raced those in Ccs a little while ago did pretty good.

My only worry is parts.. I ride a 2005 Kawi and I've noticed that even the Kawi compared to other bikes is tougher to find spares and used parts..

If u don't plan on changing a lot on the bike I think it's awesome.

If the bike was a woman, I def would not push it out of bed.

I am just funning with you man I think it's great she wants to ride I have a good friend who wanted to go to the blessing with us 2 years ago and money being no object he opted to go buy a new honda spent around 10 grand rode with us. he and his wife had a pretty good time so the next weekend they went out and bought her a new bike around 6000 it has 800 miles on it she has her license and prefers to ride on the back with him

I hope your wife rides the wheels off of it. I got another buddy that has to buy a nicer Harley everyother Year because his wife keeps outdoing him to the point he moved to dragsters because she hates drag racing lol

so you want to know what we think well heres my 2 cents. we have a dealer in town that sells that stuff no one has anything good to say about the junk they sell if it was me i would find a nice used (real) bike to start her out on your not in to deep and if it dont work out at least you can sell it that other thing will be nothing but a pain in the ass, if it breaks down which it will you will wait 6 months for a part. theres my 5 cents not hating just being real

No problem, I asked for a reason. I guess we will have to take a look in person and go from there. We also have lawnmowers, ipads, video games, bicycles etc etc that she says she is going to use.... :-) she has a Honda metropolitan now, but only put 100 miles on cuz she complains she is scared to use it on busy streets because it is so small and slow....

Also, they tell me they do have a service dept, but I'm not sure if they mean real work, or just oil changes... I wouldn't customize it much other than just mirrors and blinkers.

Friend of mine got one.

Was actually a really nice bike
The thing never broke down in the time he had it

I do have so say that it did look grubby after 18months
but everyone looks after their bikes different
The resale value was terrible

I remember reading something about the 650 basically sharing motors (some minor differences) with the Suzuki SV650, Susuki and Hyosung developed it together or something. Can't be all that bad then, I'd ride one for the right price I guess.

My sons friend has one. He got to ride it few times before it became wall art in his garage. Can't sell it can't ride it still paying for it. Sounds like a good deal to me.

The local John Deere dealer started selling these a year or two ago. They struggled to get some of the basic repair parts - plus they didn't seem to sell very many of them. When I went in there recently, no more motorcycles - apparently they had enough...

the differences are NOT minor even if these are both 650 90 degs v-twins.... like saying Z1's are the same motor as a GS1000...

wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole, appalling build & ride quality. had one for a test for a few days.
