I had to mow the yard before the rain got here and nearly made it. It rained and hailed.

They I got the bright idea of loading all my tools and parts in a friends cargo trailer that he parks here. I went next door and loaded everything by myself except two bikes and my lift. The tool box was a pain to load!

Everything is in the trailer in front of the shop.

The welder is getting wired next and I will have enough tools to fab and repair metal.

Work benches are next after that.

The concrete cost $399.19 for four yards.

The landlord said I could install a wood stove so that will help a lot. Roy

How do you figure out how many yards you need? Do you measure 3'x3' and how thick is considered a yard. Want to put in one or two yard sheds for mower and stuff this summer but wasn't sure if put on a slab or just set it on the ground over gravel area.

Google to the rescue!!! www.concretenetwork.com/concrete/howmuch/calculator.htm
They even break it down into how many bags you will have to buy if you want to mix it yourself.

Great job by the way Roy. Really looking forward to seeing what you turn out of there.

A yard of concrete is a cubic yard. 3x3x3 feet. You can do the math or figure a yard of mud will cover 81 sq. feet at 4" thick, 54 sq. ft. at 6" thick and so on. Concrete suppliers usually will give you a simple slide rule type of calculator to figure your needs or any old calc. will do it. A garden shed slab will be plenty strong at 3" thick. Handy for 2x4 forms. A good 2-4" compacted gravel base under the slab will go a long way to minimize heaving and cracking.

I loaded all my tools by myself yesterday and just got through putting them in the shop. I have enough welding lead to go all the way across my driveway. About 60 feet with a 30 foot ground. Also 50 feet of hose for my torch.

I am beat.

I have to get a 30 amp breaker. Ceiling lights and I should be good to go.

I need to move my lift and two motorcycles. Roy

I got my welder and air compressor wired in yesterday. Also some lights.

I am moving in my shelves so I can pile all my parts in. I got my lift and two bikes in and need to clean out my lean-to so I can park three more bikes.

The air compressor was a must. All my tools work on air and my shoulders are not up to using rachets all day long.

Now if I could only find time to work on bikes. Roy
