Sold a few, bought another.

Sold my 1980 Z1R project, and my ZX9R. Got a real good chunk of cash out of them. Then this bike came up, I was back and forth weather to call about it, dont really have the room but it was too good of a price not to. Negotiated a bit and got it deliverd to my door for $700

KZ750L4 needs a bit of tinkering but with a bit of work she should be a sweet little bike. I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Thats 5 minutes after unloading it off his truck. Head gasket is seeping oil, so got it cheap.

My stock paint ( Black with orange/red stripes ) 84 750L I bought a few years ago is nicer than this one and I picked it up for $800 and I got 2 milk crates full of extra parts with it too. Its my avatar.

Maybe the head gasket isn't leaking, and it's something else less critical, such as a tach drive seal.

Only mentioning because lots of head gaskets are falsely accused. :lol:

Good lord I thought I've fallen into some good deals on bikes in the past but they pale in comparison to the deal you got on this bike. I'm Kawasaki green with envy and you even got the seller to deliver it to you! I spent an entire day driving to Indiana to get my 83 750 L3 and I had to put it back together. How many miles are on this gem?

It has 40000 Km's on it. Its in nice shape. Just taking a quick look yesterday after he dropped it off I found these things that need addressed. I`m pretty stoked about the bike.

Its missing the left chrome cover on the mid pipe, left muffler and engine gaurd have rash, battery box has been butchered to take a bigger battery, needs a gas cap, front fender has a ding in it and the tank has 2 dings as well. Needs the seat recovered, black rtv silicone on the seams. Carbs are puking fuel, needs a good tune, and fresh tires....Im not a fan od Spitfires lol. I`m hoping the oil leak is the tach drive, I`ll take a look this week sometime.

I don't want to burst your bubble but you'll be wasting your time trying to fix a tach drive oil leak....that bike uses an electric tach so it doesn't have a tach drive. Still a great score on the bike.

LOL, ya know what, I`ve owned an L4 since 1994 and I know the tach is electric...Brain fart hahaa, seen Pattons reply and got all hopeful it would be simple, not the case. :blush:
