back when those came out my dad was working on one for a friend. When he got it done we went for a ride. He was on his gpz1100 and I was on the yami. I thought the bike was slow as hell until the old man stopped and asked why I couldn't keep up. He thought something was wrong with it until he rode next to me and figured out I was riding it like a four stroke. He told to leave it in second around town and to keep up with him. I wrapped it out to around 13k and kept up just fine with him after that.

this series /model is about as balanced a bike as that era turned out....flat out walk away from just about anyone even big bikes....

i couldnt agree more here is a pic of mine before i turned it into a track bike. it has a few battle scars now though. no falt of the bikes, just the rider. i put racetech valves and springs in the forks this spring, and will do the shock next.




i would be happy with a new busa or zx14.

Here is my non-kz/GPz bike that I LOVE! It's a Malibu Barbie KLR650 with a $40 luggage rack and panniers. This sort of jury rigging is not cool on a KZ, but on KLR's its a conversation piece
