pulled spark plug and inserted pencil into cylinders to make sure all pistons were moving up and down on 80 kz1000 ltd I just bought and knew nothing about. gave kick starter a push with my hand and broke off about and inch of pencil in bore!!!!!! ( I really did know better). Had to take exhaust off and blow compressed air in the plug hole and pencil part came right out.

Removed oil drain bolt on the front forks, before depressurizing the air. Spent next two hours cleaning oil off of everything in the basement.

Years later did similar thing while removing top cap from the fork. That was not nearly as bad... only had to spend 15 min. cleaning oil from face.

4 days ago Saturday, got all excited about this nice rim and tire I got from BrianKZ here.
I new I have a nice rubber strip, I looked for 4 hours and found it, cleaned it, armour alled it.
I put the tire on with 18" tire irons in the house.
Next day I see this rubber strip laying on the side.
WTF?

Years ago we were painting my wife's car metallic blue in the garage across the street, in November. Got it all sprayed, and the paint pretty well set up, at which point my friend wanted to get some heat in the garage. He fires up the wood stove and hovers in front of it, trying to get some warmth; when the blower kicked in there was a huge cloud of blue that came out of the plenum he was standing in front of. He turned around saying "OH MY!" I laughed and pointed, "Pappa Smurf!"

Having owned only dirt bikes and quads I never washed unless they broke I wanted to keep my new zx6 shiny and clean. I proceeded to armor all the shit out of the seat and tires since they didn't look the greatest, I didn't wreck but there wasn't much upholstery left on my shiny seat the first time I got off the highway and got up on the edge and hit that armor all.
